Workshop: “Invisible Strings” – 12pm (6/23/2026)

Join WorkMoney — a free, nonprofit financial wellness community —— This is for anyone who is a working adult, parent, caregiver, seniors on a fixed income, or anyone looking for simple support with money.

for an honest, eye-opening workshop about how credit actually works, why it governs so many of the choices available to us, and what you and your neighbors can do about it. No finance background needed. No wrong questions. Just show up.

Credit shapes where we can live, what we pay to borrow, and what financial options are even available to us — yet most of us were never taught how it actually works. WorkMoney, a nonprofit financial wellness community, is bringing Invisible Strings to your neighborhood: a free workshop about how the American credit system operates, why it’s designed to be confusing, and what you can do once you understand the levers. Come shed the “should,” ask your real questions, and leave feeling a lot less alone with this stuff. Based on the work of WorkMoney founder Carrie Joy Grimes and her upcoming book The Joy of Money.
